Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need art to express themselves, and my goal as their visual arts teacher is to expose them to as many art-making techniques, media, and experiences as possible. Printmaking combines color theory, and principles of design to complete a composition.
Help me create an incredible, immersive, printmaking activity with vibrant Akua Color inks, handmade gelli plates, and the materials they need to experiment creatively.
My students are all heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, as they were still in elementary school while going through the worst of all the lockdowns and distance learning. They have all had at least one full year without substantive art instruction, and I will do my very best to help make up for that.
