My Students

Biology, meaning the life science, is really alive. Not only because students learn about living organisms, but also because there is never an end to the discoveries made every day. The best way to learn it is hands-on. Unfortunately, we don't have enough equipment to make the experience real.

Our school is a science and technology based school, which is filled with science enthusiasts.

They like to discover new things and learn about them in their science classes. We offer them a variety of science classes and they choose them with a hope of discovering more about science. To complete their experience, I try to provide them with more hands-on activities and lab experiments.

My Project

My students need Gel Electrophoresis Kit for Honors Biology, Biotechnology and AP Biology Classes. Gel electrophoresis is a simple but powerful way to teach students about the complicated structures of genetic materials, like DNA. This method enables the students to grasp the structure and interaction of DNA with electrical forces. The equipment that I request in this project will make it easier and clearer to comprehend and relate the theoretical knowledge taught in class.

I want my students to be exposed to as much lab activity as possible and your donations will help me to get closer to this goal.
