Gearing Up for STEM

My students need materials such as pipe cleaners, straws, craft sticks, string and more in order to support their inquiry based STEM learning.

FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Copeland's classroom raised $166

This project is fully funded

My Students

I am part of a school that has wonderful students. We are located in a rural area in Georgia. Being part of a small community allows us to be more like family. We strive to help one another. Our students have a high free/reduced lunch percentage, which makes us a high needs school. Overall, they are a group of students that love to learn and I want to make it enjoyable.

I am a teacher that loves to offer my students a positive classroom and learning experience.

My Project

I am finally ready to implement STEM in my classroom. Students are presented with more than a worksheet. STEM activities inspire students to be more active in their learning.

Students retain more information when they are engaged.

I want to present them with a positive learning experience. Students will be able to use the materials to build bridges, simple machines, obstacle courses and models. The cotton balls, rubber bands, toothpicks, straws and the other materials can make these items. The items in this project will assist them as they manipulate answers to their questions. The materials can be used to explain basic science concepts. Students will be motivated to take part in these experiences. I want to offer them a numerous supply of materials that support their inquiry.
