This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my classroom are always engaged in their learning whether it is independently or in groups. One challenge for most of the students is they lack the means to purchase the supplies they need for the school year.

Our school is a Title 1 School, with the majority of the students receiving free or reduced lunch.

Our school is also very diverse. Students come from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The students enthusiastic learners who are eager to learn new things every day. They are also very hard working and strive for the best!

My Project

The materials requested will be used throughout the entire year for all subject areas. The folders will be used to organize student work in reading, writing, and math. The markers and the colored pencils will be used for various art projects throughout the school year. The variety of papers/posters will be used for independent or collaborative work among the students. They are all basic school supplies the students will need the entire school year.

The donations in this project will help my class the entire school year with our classroom assignments and projects.

It will also ease the cost of supplies for many of the families in my class who cannot afford to buy supplies for their student.
