Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m heading into my 4th year teaching 1st grade in a Title I school where many of my students face challenges outside the classroom. I work hard to make our classroom a safe, loving, and engaging place for them to grow.
One thing we’re missing is a large, comfortable rug where we can gather for morning meetings, read-alouds, lessons, and community time.
A classroom rug is more than just a soft spot—it’s the heart of our room where relationships are built and learning begins.
With your support, we can create a cozy space that helps my little learners feel at home, stay focused, and feel part of a classroom family.
