Help me give my students the experience of a lifetime by dissecting sheep brains! My young Einstein 3rd graders have been learning about the brain and all its parts and functions! Each dissection kit includes tools and diagrams.

My Project
Brains! Please help my young 3-5 graders learn about brain and its parts. We will help learning come alive with this dissection kit. Each kit contains tool, diagrams, and information to help young students understand the tangible brain. Students will label and identify brain parts and functions during this dissection activity.
Goals for this project include scale, quantity, structures, and systems.
Students will compare the size and durability of a sheep brain to a human brain. Using toothpicks and labels, young scientists will label brain parts and functions. Conversations will include vocabulary such as neurons, dendrites, and lobes.
My students are special because they thrive during hands-on learning. The general education provides textbooks and paper learning. But, I want to help their learning come alive in the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) room!
