My Project
All students in the school will be able to put compostable items into the composter in order to make soil for the raised garden bed. The students will have the opportunity to turn the compost and learn all about it. This will teach personal responsibility as well as problems solving.
Each class in the school will be able to put one food plant into the garden to tend to.
With permission, the teachers and students will be able to pick the food garden and try the food. Students will tend the garden by making sure that it is watered and that there aren't any weeds growing in it. This will help teach citizenship and increase a feeling of community in our school.
