Help me give my students gardening gloves to provide meaningful outdoor learning experiences and the chance to harvest foods through their collaborative hard work.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are inquisitive and curious. They are enthusiastic learners, and it is important to capitalize on this thirst for knowledge. The gardening gloves will provide students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful hands-on experiences. Being able to witness the life cycle of plants firsthand helps to reinforce important science concepts. The students will use the gardening gloves to plant various seeds and tend to them throughout the school year.
The joy of watching something grow and being able to take ownership of it is at the heart of our school's Gardening Club.
The goals for this project are to enable and enhance the students' engagement in the learning of key life science curriculum standards and bring about a sense of pride and accomplishment in the fruits of their labor.
