My Project
My students are English Language Learners, which means that they have another language spoken at home. These garden projects will help them to get an experience to develop some hands-on skills, while developing their literacy at the same time. I would like for my English language students to have ownership of their garden, so that they feel that they can grow things like flowers and food. This will give them the confidence they need to be successful. Being able to work outside is a great option for students who need another avenue to show success.
