My Project

Our school philosophy revolves around key Montessori pillars. All of these key pillars are seamlessly tied together in our Elementary garden! The children get to spend time outdoors working in and observing nature, they get to be responsible for taking care of a garden, they get to plan, plant, maintain and harvest healthy foods and they get to work in collaboration with their peers! All of this while being active, outdoors and having fun!

Our garden space is an extension of the learning environment and it gives the children a place to directly apply new skills learned!

Some children prefer to work with their hands, some children are drawn to work outside, some need to exert hard work in order to focus, some need peace and quiet, some enjoy getting dirty, some children thrive on building things ... all of these learning styles can be met in our garden space!
