My Project
My students struggle with processing sensory information and some have delays in fine motor skills that impact their performance in the classroom. I am requesting Potting Soil, Humus, Live Pothos Plants, Kids Gardening Tool Set, and more. The sensory experience of touching the soil and watering plants will help address these skills and improve their overall hand function.
A little garden will help my students improve their sensory motor and fine motor skills.
At the same time, it will cultivate a sense of responsibility, improve following directions and increase their self confidence and motivation when they see their plants growing. This is also one way of increasing independence in manipulating garden tools and help with their motor coordination skills.
