Garden by Design: Eco-Art in Bloom

Help me give my students the opportunity to integrate art with science by designing eco-inspired creations that bring our school’s environmental garden to life through creativity and sustainability.

My Project

I love that my students are creative, thoughtful, and eager to make a difference in their world. They aren’t afraid to try new things and constantly look for ways to connect their learning to real-life experiences. As Creative Design students, they thrive when given opportunities to combine art, innovation, and purpose. This project will empower them to express their ideas through eco-inspired design projects tied directly to our school’s environmental science garden.

This project will give my students the tools they need to create, collaborate, and grow—literally and figuratively.

The printer and cardstock will allow them to produce vibrant, high-quality signage, informational displays, and design drafts. Dry erase boards will support brainstorming sessions and peer feedback, making design thinking a visible and iterative process. Most excitingly, the hydroponic systems will deepen their understanding of sustainability as they explore how design and science intersect to support food production and environmental care.

Our goal is to enhance our school garden by adding students’ creative designs that bring beauty and make a lasting impact. What makes these students special is their passion for using their creativity to solve real problems. With your support, they’ll gain not only technical skills but also confidence, purpose, and pride in beautifying and sustaining their community through art.
