My Students

Limited art resources have drastically hit our educational system. With limited resources it is up to me to inspire multi-ethnic and multicultural students to be as creative as possible. Artistic expression has no boundaries and it is my duty to expose my students to as many art forms as possible.

My students are a beautiful bunch of energetic, kind, creative and inspirational kindergarteners.

Together, as a group, we grow, learn and thrive. Yes we face budget challenges but we still manage to meet each of those challenges. My students come to school and truly want to be there. Their positive energy motivates me to be the best teacher I can be. I am inspired to push through all the bureaucratic nonsense and truly focus on what is important: the children and their love of learning.

My Project

The materials that I have chosen will allow students to take art on the road. Students can use the portable easels and canvases and venture out to the garden to design and create art. Students will learn that motivation for creative expression can be found in a variety of locations. By giving the students the tools, space, and opportunity to explore, discover and generate art in an outdoor area such as the school garden or outdoor theater I hope to encourage the children to be artistically creative and to use their imaginations to the fullest.

Inspiration for art can be found in a variety of locations and should not be limited to the confines of the classroom.

Students are encouraged to take the portable easels and venture out to the class garden and get creative with a variety of tools.
