This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students (K to 5th graders) love to play video games and they love technology. I am a strong believer of gamification. I believe in using toys kids are familiar with (and interested in) and using these toys as a leverage to promote STEM learning in my classroom.
Nintendo Labo is a toys-to-life game that combines cardboard sheets with Labo software to allow the user to design, build and use attachments to the Nintendo Switch console.
I am looking to bring Nintendo Switches, along with this Nintendo Labo and Game Builder Garage into my technology class as classroom tools which combine hands-on creation with technology, helping to teach children communication, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in a fun setting.
Much thanks for your consideration in helping to fund this project for my technology club.
