Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a third-year, Kindergarten teacher. I am so excited to teach Kindergarten again! Kindergarten is such a curious age. It is my goal as the teacher to provide them with every opportunity to learn and develop.
My students come from low-income households, and therefore resources are minimal.
My students need constant reinforcement outside of the classroom, which involves parent involvement. Parent involvement must be taught to promote a positive learning experience at home.
My students love learning, exploring, and creating. It is my job to give them all the opportunities and resources to learn with (which they truly love to do!)
My Project
My students are very hands on learners. At the age of 5 it is very important for my students to learn in multiple different ways. These include, hands on writing, technology, movement, etc. In my classroom the students abilities range tremendously so I like to do small group learning majority of the school day.
Learning games are needed to engage my students to provide the best learning opportunities.
Each game is leveled to provide my students the ability to learn independently by practicing skills previously taught. This will help my students become active learners!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
