This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school counselor, I work with an incredible group of students from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face daily social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Our school serves a large population of students from low-income households, and many of them benefit from additional support in managing emotions, resolving conflicts, and developing empathy.

My students are bright, resilient, and eager to connect—they just need the right tools and safe spaces to practice these vital skills.

That’s where this project comes in as it will allow me to teach them these vital skills through games.
