This year, I will be teaching a special module on government responses throughout history to plagues and pandemics. My goal? To help kids grow into the kind of adults who will be able to lead us through the next health crisis we are sure to face.
One of the best ways to teach kids is through games.
This school values agency and engagement, and students taking this social studies course have elected to take it. I know this game will really drive them to think deeply, and because the game is collaborative rather than competitive, will provide them with opportunities to consider how they can best be of service to their communities.
