My Students

My students are in 5th grade.

My students love learning decimals, fractions, reading, and doing science investigations.

All of my students work very well together. They have a growth mindset. I enjoy watching them learn from friendly math debates and seeing their eyes light up as we begin math game centers.

My Project

These materials will allow me to give students a new set of games choices at the end of Math instruction or during indoor recess. Students join a Math center and play games during small group instruction. As the months get colder and we begin to stay indoors for inclement weather recess they will have the option to select to play recess games or color. I can envision groups of students playing Uno, Chess, or our Math war game. I can hear it now! Students giggling, laughing, and talking while playing games!
