This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach atypically developing students ages 4 - 5 years old that have a unique way of learning from a traditional classroom. They often gravitate to hands-on learning and are inspired on each other's curiosities. They amaze me everyday by building grand railroads along the entire space of the construction center, using shaving cream for sensory play to learn letters, and creating their own masterful art pieces derived from their imagination. As a teacher I want to continue their learning by creating a natural environment of exploration. This requires tools that teach attention to task, sensory support, and classroom environment.

This year we are asking for materials to help enhance the learning experience in the classroom.

My Project

It's game time! We all love learning when we are having fun. The games I am requesting will engage students fun mode into academic and pragmatic skills that will help them be successful in their future school experience.

Games are at the heart of preschool learning.

The Lego emotions set will help teach emotions, crocodile teeth game will teach students how to take turns with an element of surprise and engage spontaneous communication, Hi-Ho Cherrio teaches basic counting concepts, and the fishing game teachers letter concepts as well as some science concepts with magnetics.
