My Students
Students from all first grade classrooms will come for Math Lab everyday.
Our school is a high poverty school.
We serve all kinds of students. Our students come from different social economical backgrounds. Some of have more, and some have less. However, this does not make them different from each other. They are all enthusiastic learners. They love to learn!
My Project
The materials will strengthen students' operational skills. Everyday, students are organized into small groups. They work collaboratively and independently on Math tasks. The Bumper Car game will help students play collaboratively to strengthen their addition and subtraction skills. The dice will allow students to play more operational games, such as addition and subtraction. Super Genius and Wrap-Up Keys will help strengthen students' addition and subtraction skills when they are playing collaboratively.
Donations to this project will make learning more fun.
It will not only allow students to strengthen their Math skills, but it will also help students collaborate with each other. Negotiation and collaboration are live-long skills that will benefit students.
