Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their creativity, their pride in their culture, and their willingness to come together to build a positive school community. Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds, and we celebrate that throughout the year by organizing cultural events like our Cinco de Mayo celebration, Día de los Muertos, and our Mexico Independence Day Festival. These moments not only allow students to embrace their heritage, but they also create joyful, inclusive experiences that connect the entire school.
With your support, I want to give my students access to games and materials that bring them together outside the classroom as well.
Items like Spikeball, Pickleball, Connect 4, and party sunglasses will add excitement to our events and lunchtime activities. Storage totes will help us organize materials for our MEChA and HOSA clubs.
These resources will allow students to take on leadership roles during events, build stronger relationships with one another, and take pride in creating a positive and engaging school environment. Thank you for considering a donation to support their experience!
