Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we approach the end of the school year, I'm planning a special celebration to recognize the hard work, growth, and resilience of our amazing students. These requested games and small prizes will help make this event both fun and meaningful. Students will use the get to use the buzzer system for a fun jeopardy like, quiz experience. The will use the Giant 4 in a Row Connect Game, Giant Yard Pong, Giant Tumble Tower and other games as part of a stations approach where they will travel around to different stations, participate and earn prizes..
This celebration isn’t just about fun (though there will be plenty of that!); it’s also a valuable opportunity to support our students' social-emotional learning (SEL) and mental health as they wrap up the year.
This project will promote joy & stress relief because laughter and play reduce anxiety and support emotional well-being. It will also:
*Build Belonging: Games encourage teamwork, connection, and inclusion—key parts of SEL.
*Celebrate All Kinds of Success: Prizes reward not just performance, but effort, kindness, and creativity.
*Foster Confidence: Students learn it’s okay to try, fail, and try again—a powerful lesson in resilience.
*Create Lasting Memories: Ending the year on a positive note helps students feel good about school and themselves.
