This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My student-athletes are from the Southeast side of Chicago. They are inner-city student-athletes with love and passion for the game of Soccer. Our school's soccer program is highly competitive while instilling a fun atmosphere and enforcing good sportsmanship. We teach our student-athletes how to be leaders and prepare them for whatever lies ahead.

We pride ourselves in instilling to our student-athletes the importance of excelling both on and off the field.

We encourage our student-athletes to be just as excited about helping the community as they are for soccer, venturing out, and helping at local food pantries and other community events.

What makes my players special is that despite the overwhelming odds of growing up in a tough neighborhood on the Southside of Chicago, they maintain their energy and love for the sport; there is no challenge they will not take head-on.

My Project

I'm always about giving experiences to my student athletes that they would not be able to have otherwise. They deserve the best, like I had, but that doesn't come easy to them unfortunately. The importance of watching film in sports has many benefits, it's important for athletes to look back and see past games, professional games and other games. Together as a team, we can break down certain aspects of what is right, our areas of improvement, and what not to do. This is standard procedure for most high school teams and it would be great to expose them to this equipment at such a young age. Additional equipment is included in this project to improve accuracy in shooting.

Help me give this amazing strategy tool to my student athletes who are less fortunate to have this equipment at their disposal.
