This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a Dual Language classroom. Instruction is delivered in both English and Spanish. The students are a very lively bunch of first graders. The classroom is composed the majority of Spanish speaking students who are learning how to speak English as well as academics in both languages.

They are very motivated to learn, and all are very imaginative, creative and just plain fun.

They are always thinking of ways to make assignments their own and they love to collaborate and help each other out. They also look for ways to make assignments and projects fun and they love to share with each other.

My Project

My students currently have access to one OSMO kit in our classroom, and they love it!! The classroom will benefit from having additional OSMO kits in the classroom because that way they wont have to wait days to get their turn to use it.

The class is set up as game based learning, and the use of this item in the classroom has hugely benefited the students learning, especially in reading and math.

When the children use this in the classroom, they are collaborating in the learning and identifying the words the game displays. The OSMO kits are an essential part when learning vocabulary, especially for those students that are learning English!!
