Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with amazing and hard-working 6-7 year old first grade students. My students come to school every day excited, ready to learn, and full of passion. These students come from low socio-economic families and are limited in the supplies they have at home. Often, the only time they have the opportunity to use their creativity is in the classroom.
The vehicle building engineering centers that I have requested will help students plan, design, create, and improve engineered vehicles created by them.
By stimulating their engineering brains and teaching them how to go through the whole engineering process, the students will essentially become college and career-ready.
