My Students

As part of the students Music final this year they were asked what they enjoyed learning in Music this year. Most expressed how much fun they had learning music, and also their desire to learn to play an instrument such as the piano.

Even during the Pandemic, which over shadowed every facet of our delivery of instruction, the students at my school really gave their best to participate, though there were limited resources, if any, available at home.

This year, as Music instructor, my plan is to step up the level of music engagement by providing the opportunity to learn and perform with instruments.

My Project

Due to the current uncertainty in healthcare status and within state wide educational institutions, recorders can be distributed for personal learning, as sharing is no longer an option.

The piano can be cared for in a manner that will afford students the opportunity to learn to play this instrument, while maintaining a higher level of safety in usage.

Only a very few number of students are able to acquire a personal instrument. A prior donation of recorders from radio station WFMT brought joy to a limited number of students. This donation will make a tremendous impact on the lives of many of my students.
