My Students

You have a 1 in 6 chance of being a victim of a crime in our school's neighborhood. Crime is 136% higher than the national average and students come to our school every day carrying the trauma around them.

This is the first year my students have a dedicated Science class and we want to experiment and investigate as much as we can.

We are totally in person and on a very tight schedule. Having individual supplies will help us be prepared and also be Covid safe.

My students are future scientists who need to be able to see how the world works and make their own conclusions. They also will be collaborating in order to create individual science explorations.

My Project

My students have not had a dedicated Science class and need the tools to explore the world they live in. One of the biggest units for students is ecosystems in which we explore the interconnectivity of the world.

The donations to this project will help my students see the literal connections they have in impacting the world.

The fish tanks will be a visual reminder of how ecosystems work. They will have to monitor the fish and the plants. Soil will allow us to explore the effects we have on the way our environment grows. I also added the staples that we need to explore chemical reactions.
