My students need small DC motors for the electric car competition, balsa wood for building a bridge for the sturdy bridge design competition, a study guide for the Earthquakes and Volcanos Earth Science event, cutting knives, glue and wood for an event called Junkyard Wars, and an environmental test kit.

My students are an incredibly gifted group belonging to our school Science Olympiad team. Students are high school 9 - 12 grade with an interest in science.
In this economically depressed area our school district is in fiscal crisis at this time. The school science budget was drastically cut this year, and the school and my students cannot afford most of the supplies we require to participate in this competition. Providing us with these supplies will allow us to compete with other more well-funded schools and allow these bright students to achieve their dreams.
This team needs supplies for their Science Olympiad competition. The motors, balsa wood, study aids, chemistry water test kit, and lab accessories will allow my students to learn some awesome science and be a functional part of the only academic team in our school.
Your generous donation will help my students use their creative energies to work as scientists solving problems like the energy crisis in this country. Involvement in competitions like the electric car, environmental chemistry, and junkyard wars will make them great scientists and better citizens of the planet.
