This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hi, I’m a proud graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana (HBCU!) and soon-to-be graduate of Georgia State University (PBI!) with a Master’s in Education focusing on literacy. This fall, I’m stepping into my 3rd year of teaching, bringing everything I’ve learned inside and outside of the classroom to prepare my 3rd graders for the daily challenges of school and life.

This project will help me create a warm, welcoming space where learning feels like home—starting with a cozy tent and rug combo where students can curl up with books, write stories, and build confidence in themselves as readers and thinkers.

With your help, our classroom will have the tools we need—crayons, colored pencils, wipes, and more—to make every day a chance to learn with joy.

Your support will help us stock up on resources that build skills while sparking a love of learning. Together, we can help these scholars walk confidently into their future, one day at a time.
