My Project

I work at a Title I school where I have the privilege of teaching students with a range of special needs. As a resource teacher for 7th and 8th grade, I conduct two classes daily—one focused on reading and the other on math—while also providing support through resource push-ins. A significant aspect of my role is to enhance my students' reading fluency and comprehension.

However, finding a safe and comfortable space for them to read has proven to be a challenge.

I am reaching out on DonorsChoose to seek funding for a reading rug that would provide an inviting area for my students during independent and group reading sessions. Rugs can be quite costly, and unfortunately, our school does not cover these expenses. Your support would greatly enrich the reading experience for my students.
