Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students' minds are always learning. Their little computers always want to get more memory into their systems to understand the world around them. These materials will help them expand their minds when using all the hands-on they need to have in the classroom. We use the Creative Curriculum which has investigating units. The one's students enjoy the most are the insect and the tree units! That’s where the investigation begins! We see what & who lives in trees! We find the ladybugs, the caterpillars, butterflies, and anything else we can find! We compare, look at color, etc! We use the DRDP measures to see what each student has accomplished and learned by the end of the semester, 2xs a year. Once in the Fall and then in the Spring to see their progress and growth. We enjoy seeing this because the children always show so much growth in the Spring time! We can’t wait to use these observation jars, bug rope, and other materials in class!
