This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How do you explore ecosystems when you live in the concrete jungle?
Our school is located in an enormous urban school district.
Many of our students receive free or reduced lunch as a result of their financial situation. Our school is dedicated to improving the lives of our students through meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
Understanding the complexity of ecosystems is particularly challenging for students who may have never left the city setting. The materials I have requested will provide my students with real experiences related to the environment. Researching recycling will result in a major perspective change on how my students view the world.
Providing hands-on exploration materials will undoubtedly allow my students the opportunity to gain a better understanding of environmental systems as well as spark a desire to protect the environment.
