My Project
My students are eager, curious, and creative learners who thrive when given the opportunity to explore hands-on, real-world challenges. To help them grow as critical thinkers and future innovators, I want to bring LEGO Education SPIKE kits into our classroom. These kits combine colorful LEGO bricks with easy-to-use hardware and block-based coding to engage students in STEM learning through play and problem-solving.
With SPIKE, students will work in teams to build robots, program sensors and motors, and test solutions to engineering challenges.
They'll gain experience with coding logic, design thinking, and collaboration—skills that are essential for success in the 21st century. Whether it’s programming a robot to navigate a maze or designing a machine to lift objects, students will be learning by doing, experimenting, and improving through iteration.
These materials will support our science and technology curriculum and allow me to create meaningful STEM experiences that reach all learners, especially those who may not see themselves as “tech-savvy” yet. I want to spark curiosity, boost confidence, and show students that they are capable of achieving amazing things when given the right tools.
