Future Engineers Love STEM!

My Students

My students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners. The girls are outnumbered fourteen to eight, but they hold their own.

I have students who have limited resources at home and little access to engaging, educational activities outside of school.

I have students who have had to evacuate their countries due to conflict and are learning English for the first time. I have students with autism, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder.

They are my Blue Suede Paws and are our fantastic future.

My Project

Children love LEGO. My students are children who love LEGO, Math, and Science. This LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Building Set set will enable my students to think and act like robotic engineers. This kit enables budding engineers to learn about building robots, sensors, and control via LEGO (the original STEM education, in my opinion). Students have to follow engineering drawings, an invaluable skill, as they build and create. The kit comes with a curriculum pack that will help me develop fascinating problem-solving activities in my classroom. Problem-solving helps my students to become critical thinkers and to work their way through the Engineering Design Process. These skills will help my students in life, school, and career.
