Future Engineers in Training: Hands-On STEM for Every Learner
Help me give my students hands-on STEM kits that will spark curiosity, build critical thinking skills, and bring science and engineering concepts to life by engaging experiments and real-world challenges.
My students are bright, curious, and bursting with potential. But too often, their access to hands-on STEM learning is limited by resources. With your support, I can provide a powerful set of interactive STEM kits that bring science, engineering, and creativity to life for my students in grades 3–5.
This project includes solar-powered cars, weather labs, magnetic force kits, and volcano and crystal experiments—designed to spark imagination and deepen understanding of core science concepts.
From building electric wind cars to experimenting with a science kit of snowstorms in a jar, each kit is aligned to our grade-level standards and supports the 5E instructional model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate).
These materials will serve as:
Small-group STEM stations
Project-based learning tools
Challenge kits for early finishers
Science center enhancements
Resources for after-school enrichment
With the Lakeshore Hands-On Science Kit for Grade 5 anchoring the experience, students will also meet key grade-level standards in a fun, memorable way. The TeacherGeek Straw Rockets and Candy Lab kits add engaging, inquiry-based activities that blend design thinking and engineering challenges.
