This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second grade students are naturally curious, creative, and full of energy. However, our classroom lacks the hands-on tools that help bring science, technology, engineering, and math to life. These materials—like magnetic blocks, marble runs, and programmable robots—will allow my students to explore engineering concepts, build collaboratively, and solve real-world problems through play.

With these tools, students will develop critical thinking, spatial awareness, and perseverance.

The materials will support structured STEM challenges, early coding skills, and open-ended discovery time—perfect for all learners, especially English learners and those who thrive with visual and tactile experiences. This project will help me build a joyful, student-centered STEM space where problem-solvers and future innovators can thrive.
