Future Engineers: AI and Machine Learning

Help me give my students access to learning to code Artificial Intelligence (AI) equipment. Students can use what they have learned from coding lessons to see their coding live on the microbit.

My Project

After teaching science for 18 years, I have now embarked on introducing students to the world of engineering through the class "Exploring Engineering". As a part of the class, I will be exposing students to the computer science curriculum that is promoted by the Amazon Future Engineer program.

As an Amazon Future Engineer, students will translate their computer coding into Artificial Intelligence (AI) through the Microbit.

Instead of only learning the coding necessary for AI, they can see their coding come to life and serve a purpose. For example, students can code the Microbit to control iPhone music to skip songs. Students can also use the Microbit to detect and respond to motion.

I am grateful for the opportunity to expose students to life-applicable technology and allow them to experience the beginning of a career in engineering.
