Help me give my students continue to become future coders by helping replenish our Lego WeDo kits and by adding Dash to our opportunities to do hands on coding!

My Students

My students all live in a rural mostly agricultural area. They do not have access to technology in their homes for the most part due to low availability of internet access or lack of funds to do so. They love learning to use computers at school. They have iPads that they use in their classrooms to help them become proficient with using computers. We have many students that travel 56 miles round trip to attend our small school.

My students are like sponges when it comes to using technology not just for fun, but in ways that could lead them to a way to take care of themselves and their families in the future.

It is our goal that 100% of our students will choose a career and then work towards achieving that goal while attending our school. We want to help them be ready for the ever changing world that seems to revolve around technology. In order to do that we have to provide as many options at school as possible. We want our student to experience as much technology as possible at school. We know the success of their future depends on it.

My Project

My students love hands on activities that they don't have access to at home that are not only fun, but teach them about the future world of coding.

My students enjoy the construction and coding of the WeDo robots and have even designed some of their own!

Adding Dash as another component of hands on coding will help them see what their future could hold.

I love seeing my students fall in love with learning in general, but coding is the future and if I can help foster that love and ability then that is the goal of my class!
