Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Preschoolers learn through play and hands-on activities. Distance learning has been a challenge. Our classroom is inclusive, some our students have disabilities which include autism. Most of my students come from low income families. They do not have the resources to buy learning materials and educational manipulatives.
My Project
I would like to provide my students with bristle builders they can use at home. These were one of my students' favorite manipulatives to use in the classroom. I would love to be able to give my students a piece of our classroom to take home. During these unprecedented times maintaining connections with our students is essential. My students will benefit greatly from manipulatives they can use at home. My preschool students learn from hands-on activities. Bristle builders are great educational toys. They help strengthen fine motor skills. They also promote cognitive development and imagination.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
