Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My third grade students come from very hard working, low-income families. They live in a very high need community, and most of them survive on wages far below poverty level. Our school is a peaceful haven for those who live surrounded by violence. Writing in our classroom has become treasured part of their days. A time to leave a harsh world behind and share their thoughts and feelings with the world.

My students have worked so hard to complete several personal narratives and creative story pieces and have spent countless hours typing them on the two very ancient computers in our classroom. Unfortunately, as much as they want to share their writing with the world, we have no way to print them.

These students do not have the means to purchase computers or printers for home. A printer in our classroom would allow them to see the fruits of their labor in bold print and give them a sense of pride for their hard work.

Please help my future authors share their fabulous stories and the publish the way that every author should!!!
