it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember going to the art table and exploring new materials to add to your creations? My students are often going to the art table, but we are in need of materials. Preschool is about using hands on materials and exploring creativity. My students are excited about school because they get the opportunity to learn through play. Many of the activities are geared towards hands on learning and helps with the whole child. Students are encouraged to explore and create different visions with various materials. By hands on experiences, it allows the child's creativity to come to light!
My Project
An art curriculum is essential at any age, but preschool is the foundation because it's very imaginative and open ended. Students will have the opportunity to use water colors, easel, and markers outside and inside the classroom. Students create without feeling that art is difficult because it's about the process and not the product. My students find that art is relaxing and love to make cards, bracelets. collages for their families. When students finish their masterpieces they are excited to take it home and are so proud of what they created. Art is often seen as an elective or forgotten in education.
