This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a special education teacher, I am dedicated to ensuring that my students have an environment where they can learn, grow, and feel comfortable. My special education students in the general education classroom often face unique challenges, and having the right furniture is essential to meeting their needs. Currently, our classroom lacks the necessary adaptive and flexible seating options to help them stay engaged and focused. With furniture and sensory toys that accommodates their sensory needs, motor skills, and learning preferences, my students will have the support they need to thrive alongside their peers. Whether it’s a chair that offers more stability or a bean bag chair to help calm down, the right furniture would make a world of difference in helping them stay focused, organized, and confident. Your support would provide these students with a learning environment where they can succeed and feel empowered every day.

I strive to create an environment that fosters inclusivity, comfort, and focus for all of my students.

Currently, our classroom lacks the necessary furniture to fully support the unique needs of my special education students. Many of them benefit from adaptive seating and flexible workspaces to help them engage more effectively with the curriculum.

With new, comfortable furniture that accommodates a variety of learning needs, my students would have the opportunity to thrive in a setting that promotes focus and self-regulation. This furniture will not only support their learning but also give them a sense of belonging and dignity as they work alongside their peers. Your generous donation would make a lasting impact on the educational experience of these students, allowing them to succeed and feel confident in their classroom environment.
