This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their boundless curiosity and creativity. Each day, they walk into the art room ready to explore new ideas, take risks, and express themselves in unique ways. As an IB PYP school, we nurture learners who are inquirers, thinkers, and communicators - and the art room is where those traits come to life. My students are eager to make connections between their artwork and the world around them, often using their projects to reflect on their learning in other subjects.

The new desks I'm requesting will provide my students with sturdy, functional workspaces where they can collaborate, create, and comfortably engage in hands-on projects.

Right now, we have tables and chairs that are wobbly, outdated, or mismatched, which can be a distraction during the creative process. With new, consistent furniture, students will have the space and support they need to fully immerse themselves in artistic inquiry. These desks will also help with classroom organization and flow, giving students a clear space to work and reflect.

Your support will help transform the art room into a place that truly reflects the creativity, collaboration, and joy that our students bring with them, every day.
