This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is incredibly diverse! I teach in an area of Houston that is undergoing a lot of changes and is faced with some unique challenges. I have students from many countries in Central and South America as well as native Houstonians across social classes.

Our goal is to be bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate!

My dual language classroom is dynamic and inclusive. My students learn Spanish and English simultaneously and encourage one another to step out of their comfort zone and learn a new language.

My Project

This year we were blessed with shiny new books in my Kindergarten class! Hooray! To be able to get the most out of our new books I am in desperate need of organizing bins. Please help me and my students stay organized this year with these colorful bins.

These allow me to sort by genre and keep the books accessible to students.

Our classroom also needs new desks and chairs for a flex space that will serve as our technology corner where students can use the monitors and chrome-books for online programming and assessments. These new desks and chairs will help use save valuable space in the classroom since we need to allow students to social distance.
