My students need circuitry kits, crafting supplies and an Ipad stand to help create and develop in the DREAM lab, as well as record their process on the ipad.

My Students

Learning is all about dreaming, trying, failing and having the courage to try again. This is a premise that we base learning upon in the DREAM lab - students are encouraged to take real world problems and come up with their own solutions.

Kids learn in different ways, and today's kids need hands on ways to develop thinking and explore the world around them.

Almost 200 4th and 5th graders will go through learning in the DREAM lab this coming school year. As they delve into the common core, students will be able to explore real world problems, develop solutions, and explore their environments with hands on activities that will allow them to step beyond a text book and into the world that they live in. Our students come for many different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds but the ability to create is innate in all of our students.

My Project

It is important for students to have access to materials that engage and encourage them to create. It is also important that students share what they are learning and the funding of this project will help provide them with the materials to create and experience the world around them. Also, the Ipad stand will also allow them to use technology to capture their process and then share their creativity.

Today's learners are sparked by creative environments and when they are allowed to blossom, they become tomorrow's inventors.

The DREAM lab will be a place that the students in 4th and 5th grade will have a chance to let their imagination run and allow them the opportunity to create and leave their mark on society.
