My students are wonderful children! Our school is in an urban area and most students qualify for free lunch. They come from many different home situations that are sometimes difficult for them and can cause challenges in the school setting.
My students are eager to learn despite their circumstances and inspiring when they choose to overcome and excel.
My students are special and deserve the best that I can get for them in order to help them meet their goals.
My Project
I would like to provide my students with a fun way to practice math concepts that they can complete independently or with group partners. These games will give students a new avenue to practice the concepts that we are learning in our math class.
My students need to see that learning math can be fun!
Using games and activities can help accomplish this and give them an incentive to learn the skills needed to play the games successfully. We will use the games in math stations to allow students to practice the skills that they are learning with their classmates or independently. This will help them to master important math concepts which will create a firm foundation for later math classes.
