This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are amazing and very good at using their Chromebooks at school since they had to use them to learn during coronavirus pandemic. Many of them have some learning loss from that time at home. They have become very good at using technology for entertainment, but not for education.
By purchasing this computer I can show them how using technology and a fully functioning computer can help them complete projects that are real-life problem based so that they can see how the math they are behind on is useful.
It will give them a fully functioning laptop to use instead of a simple Chromebook which has limited functionality.
By utilizing the computer, it engages them and it shows them why they need to learn the math and not just continue to skate by. In order to learn to program, use graphic design, and other branches of math based computing, they need to know how to enter formulas. This will give them a drive and desire to finally close those learning gaps.
