Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have diverse students from different cultures, races and ethnicity. I teach Spanish to students in levels I, II and III. I do have some Spanish-Speaking students in my class but for the most part, they are not. Since a lot of them are 2nd or even 3rd generation, they do speak another language but are willing to learn a 3rd.
In order to make learning fun, students should be engaged.
Students need the proper resources which will help them learn. They can create projects using the vocabulary and grammar they have learned. They will be able to use the dictionaries to learn more vocabulary and write paragraphs and essay. They can share their writings with the class and teach the class the new words they have incorporated in their writings. This way, students are writing, reading, speaking and which is a great way to learn a language.
