This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Fun With Music project will bring great joy and learning to my students. Children love engaging with music and movement. It helps them express their feelings and emotions, learn to work in groups, and develop their self-confidence and imagination. This project will help me to provide a rich, quality music program in my TK/Kindergarten classroom.

Music education facilitates increased learning in all subject areas by helping children develop creative thinking skills they can use in all areas of their lives.

The stimulating effects of music jump-start innovative thinking, so kids can approach challenging academic subjects by approaching problems from unique angles and coming up with creative solutions. Many academic subjects require inventive problem-solving, such as learning several interconnected ways to reach the same answer to a math problem, developing a scientific hypothesis, or analyzing book characters.

Kids who study music from an early age also learn that hard work gives them positive results, which often inspires them to try hard and do well in other areas of their lives as well. By providing music from a young age we are building the foundation for thriving, innovative, self-confident, creative humans. Thank you for helping to provide musical opportunities for my students!
