This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. The set of magnetic math manipulatives will be used on our magnetic board, and storage containers to help in storing the manipulatives, dice and double dice will be used with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with partners. Dry erase pockets will be used to help the fraction bar cards.
The use of manipulatives can help students connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so they gain a deep understanding of the lesson.
I have seen how the use of manipulatives can positively affect my students work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
